Building a network of frontline partners
The fight against crimes which harm human health and integrity in general, and particularly the combat against organized crime, require a high level of transnational and international cooperation to be effective. Hence the launching of the IRACM’s ambitious partnership policy (Institute of Research against Counterfeit Medicines). The Institute has already signed partnerships with the large international organizations and leading actors engaged in this struggle. Download PDF
The World Customs Organization (WCO)
The World Organization of Customs (WCO) is the only intergovernmental organization specialized exclusively in customs issues. Its action aims to improve the efficiency of customs administrations around the world, and to help them meet their dual mission of trade security and trade facilitation. As such, the WCO’s role is also to consolidate the efforts to combat fraudulent and criminal activities. Created in 1952, the WCO now brings together 176 members of which three quarters are from developing countries. Its members are responsible for the management of more than 98% of world trade.
Interpol
With its 190 Member countries, Interpol is the only international police organization to cover the entire globe. Created in 1923, Interpol’ mission is to facilitate cooperation between police forces and to provide support and assistance to all services, organizations and authorities which share the same mission to prevent and combat crime. Its General Secretariat is located in Lyon (France). Interpol has seven regional offices - Argentina, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, El Salvador, Kenya, Thailand and Zimbabwe – as well as a representation at the United Nations in New York, at the WHO in Geneva and at the European Union in Brussels. Interpol is a Member of the special International Medical Products Anti-Counterfeiting Taskforce (IMPACT) created in 2006 at the initiative of the WHO.

FRANCOPOL
The FRANCOPOL association was created in September 2008. It is the result of a joint initiative led by the Directorate of International Relations and Safety Protocol in Québec and the French National Police Training Department. The desire of the two organizations was to create a French speaking network to facilitate cooperation and the exchange of expertise via one common language. With its guiding principles of consultation and cooperation, the organization’s mission is to promote research, reflexion and the sharing of best practices with regard to police training and expertise.
National Institute of Advanced Studies of Security and Justice (INHESJ)
Established in 2009, the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Security and Justice is a national public administrative institution under the supervision of the French Prime Minister. The INHESJ intervenes in the areas of training, studies, research, intelligence and strategic analysis related to internal sanitary, environmental and economic security as well as in matters involving justice and legal affairs. The Institution is based at the military school of Paris.
The China Criminal Police University (CCPU) of Shenyang
Located in Shenyang, the Criminal Police University of China (CCPU) is the most elite school of criminal police in the People’s Republic of China. It is placed directly under the wing of the National Ministry of Public Security. Founded in 1948, the CCPU has developed an original and comprehensive system of education combining the knowledge and research work of university staff with the expertise essential to the conduct of criminal investigations in all areas. The CCPU is the body that forms all managers involved in combating crime in all its forms.
