In an initial warning, health agency (Cofepris) states that Sanofi Pasteur has reported the falsification and marketing of Fluzone Quadrivalent f.f. with health registration number 146M2014 and lot numbers: EUH2174AC, EUH071AB and E0H071AB, all with an expiry date of January 22. Because this vaccine has not yet been registered for use in the Mexican market no batches have been distributed yet.
The second alert is for the illegal marketing of Vaxigrip f.f. suspension, with health registration number 478M96 SSA, also produced by Sanofi Pasteur, with batch numbers U3J091V and U3J481V, both with an expiry date of June 21. This product is to be used exclusively in the healthcare sector and must not be sold or used in hospitals, GP clinics, pharmacies or any other private institution because its safety and efficacy are not guaranteed.
