The NFADAC (National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control) Director said at a press conference that the Agency is encouraging local product manufacturing. She added that the Agency was now developing innovation from local manufacturers by giving five-year market exclusivity to innovative companies with the capacity to meet the country’s demand. The NAFDAC Director wants 60% of medicines which are sold in Nigeria to be manufactured locally.
