The HPRA has published its 2018 Annual Report, which provides details about its key activities during the year. According to the report, a total of 619, 213 units of illegal medicines were detained in 2018.
This is a decrease on 2017’s figure of 984,915.
Some 36% of these were sedatives, 18% were erectile dysfunction medicines and 16% were anabolic steroids.
