Customs seized 76 boxes of Merck & Co Gardasil with an estimated value of around $22,000. Suspicion that the seized samples are fake has arisen because of differences in the packaging of genuine Gardasil. The investigation was launched after one patient complained of an injection site reaction to a vaccine administered at Harmony Medical Care Services The center reportedly used two fridges to keep the suspected fake and real vaccines separately. The director of a medical center in Kwun Tong and one other member of staff have been detained for questioning.
