The Manufacturers’ Union (Unifab) and the Illicit Trade Tackling Association (I.T.T.A) have jointly published a white paper to reinforce the fight against illicit online trade. The document provides an overview of the trafficking and denounces impacts on consumers, businesses and the state (tax revenue losses, etc.). The white paper also lists recommendations for taking “efficient” action, such as setting up new means of collaboration between private and public sectors, developing a dedicated observatory, and the revision of legislation for electronic commerce, which is considered obsolete.
