In December 2018, the Philippines Health Agency issued a warning about fake Verorab® vaccines which were in circulation in the country. Since then, a new batch of fake Verorab® vaccines has been reported. Lab screening and investigations are currently underway to assess the risk to public health but the manufacturer, Sanofi Pasteur, had already confirmed that they did not make the vaccines.
