A prisoner told IranWire media that several of his cellmates complained of painful symptoms similar to those of poisoning. Most of them reported that they developed these symptoms after taking sedatives. According to the prisoners, they have no other means of treating themselves other than buying the expensive medicines which are smuggled into the prison. Medicines are often sold to them without packaging, which probably means that they are expired or fake.
