The Health Ministry Medicine Control department reported that last year, 8,907 doses of medicine for human use, 552 foodstuffs, 16 veterinary medicines and 7 health products (hearing aids and prosthesis, etc.) were withdrawn from the market due to poor quality, mislabeling and potentially misleading adverts.
A total of 826 warnings were reported in 2017, mostly for medical devices (665) and also illicit medicines (8).
