The Union of Local Pharmacists has reported that illicit medicine trafficking represents almost €400,000. This is nearly 4% of the global medicine trade. The products are sold on the black market and are either stolen or falsified medicines. The Mexican health agency has seized more than 350 tonnes of illicit medicines in seven years.
