Almost 4 tons of medicines, which were mainly seized by Gouloumbou and Koumpentoum customs between 2015 and today, have been destroyed. The Order of Pharmacists has stated that none of the incinerated medicines came from the legal supply chain. The fake medicines did not carry any information concerning the manufacturing laboratory, code bars or expiry dates. The tetanus serums and corticosteroids came from China, Thailand and Nigeria.
