FOX31 television reporters investigated four Denver-area grocery stores and revealed that they were illegally selling prescription medicines or antibiotics to their customers. Amoxicillin was one of the antibiotics being sold. Most of the stores selling the illegal products were run by Hispanic managers. The issue may have arisen from cultural differences and a lack of understanding in terms of US medicine trade laws. Some US prescription medicines are indeed sold over the counter in other countries.
