The Nigerian Ministry of Health said yesterday that it had sealed 30 illegal patent medicine stores and pharmacies in the Ajeromi-Ifelodun area. The Ministry also seized in the stores fake medications worth millions of naira (thousands of dollars). The establishments have been closed following several raids and environmental health inspections. The aim is to wipe out illegal sales points and step up the fight against the trade in fake and illicit medicines.
