The saline solution travelled through many countries before arriving at the Apollo laboratory, a major traffic nerve center, and distributed to certain accomplice pharmacies in Argentina. The solution was manufactured in the small village of Yaguaron in Uruguay. It was then dispatched to Paraguay where it would cross the border into Argentina without any sanitary measures or legal permits. Once in Argentina it was unloaded in an initial distribution warehouse. The goods were then taken to the Apollo laboratory along route 11, a 1,000km-long road with infrequent police checks. Several local laboratories were involved in the activity and further enriched the traffickers by selling the saline solution to hospitals and clinics within the country.
