In Arua, police confiscate fake medicines worth more than 20 million Ugandan Shillings

Ugandan National Drug Authority (NDA) assisted by the Police seized fake medicines worth more than twenty million Ugandan Shillings (€5,330). During the week-long operation, authorities closed half of the 90 drug shops visited and impounding of medicines from 40 outlets for non-compliance with operating standards. Most of the impounded medicine is from a Kenyan company which has no market authorization in the country .
