A TV show entitled ” Vanity and Greed: Deadly Beauty”, talks about the story of two convicted practitioners: the first, for injecting patients with fake products in Mississippi and, the second, for distributing the aforementioned products. One of the practitioners was found guilty of murder after causing the death of one of his patients by injecting falsified silicone. The second practitioner was convicted for distributing a fake version of Botox containing live botulinum toxin which caused sustained life-threatening infections with botulism in four people in Florida.
