The American non-profit US Pharmacopeia (USP) which works to ensure the quality of medicines, dietary supplements and foods sold in the US said that it intended to launch a new system for collecting and analyze data on the quality of medicines in India. This tool should help decision makers to invest in the security and quality of medicines. USP opened its first office and facilities near Hyderabad in 2005.
