On 14 May 2015, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation warned the public about potentially deadly pills of oxycodone. The pills were the same size than the genuine and marked with A/215, a characteristic stamp of oxycodone but appeared to be counterfeit with no active ingredient of the genuine drug.
Analysis indicated the 30mg counterfeit pills contained fentanyl, a painkiller 50 times as potent as heroin which can be fatal in high doses.
