On January 8th, an investigation about a theft of medicines has led the Italian police on two warehouses, officially listed as storing soft drinks, in Ottaviano and Nola, a suburb of Naples. Inside these two warehouses, the police seized stolen pharmaceuticals worth approximately €1m. Among the seized products, medicines only available in hospitals and OTC medications, treatments against cancer and baby food.
The drugs were allegedly stolen from a truck hijacking which took place in the industrial area of Marcianise, a town in the North of Naples. The truck was found empty in the province of Salerno. Four men natives from the area and aged between 24 and 45 were arrested.
