According to Ghanaian FDA, the falsified treatment of worm infestations was discovered in drugstores and is circulating in parts of West and Greater Accra.
According to analyzes by the FDA, 2 batches of Vermox, of Janssen Cilag laboratory, do not contain any active ingredients.
Details on the two batches of falsified and recalled drugs:
- Batch No. BLL-1V01 / Manufacturing date: January 2011 / Expiry date: December 2016
- Batch No. DBL4G01 / Manufacturing date: February 2013 / Expiry date: January 2016
