The Swiss Federal Council has opened a consultation process, Wednesday 18 Dec. 2013, on legislative changes required following the Medicrime convention ratification in October 2011. Switzerland needs to make some adjustments to the Law on Therapeutic Products (LTP) and the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) to prosecute counterfeit medicines.
Switzerland wishes to strengthen the fight against the proliferation of counterfeit drugs trafficking intensifying on the Internet illegal products sale.
The consultation is open until April 2, 2014.
